The Vikings of Homewood-Flossmoor came in to fight the Porters in the Stagg Regional. Going hard all night was Gianni Cobb, Jayden Tyler, Bryce Heard and Carson Brownfield. They closed the night winning 82 to 45.

Head Coach Jamere Dismukes talked with WCCN after the game saying “we need to continue to do what we do and play how we play. Our goal is to go one and zero ever game.”

The hardest game for HF is not the state game but their next match up. “The state championship game is on Friday against either Eisenhower or Stagg from my assessment. That is the state championship game.”

Dismukes added “four of our starters had over ten points. When we play like that we think we are tough to beat. When we can spread the wealth, share the ball, get stops and play offense together we are tough to beat.”

Senior Guard Gianni Cobb talked about how they won. “We came out and played hard. We can’t over look any team and we played together.”

Junior Guard Jaden Tyler said “It’s felt good that the ball kept going into the net. If it’s going in for all of us we can’t be stopped.”

Junior Bryce Heard spoke about how rebounding made the game. “Head Coach JD put an emphasis on rebounding. So I came out and shots were just falling.”

Senior Carson Brownfield told us how playing as a team wins games’. “It about coming together, playing hard, and matching the energy. Coach JD wants us to win state but most importantly play together. “

HF’s next game will be for the Regional Championship on Friday vs Stagg.
