Thornton Fractional South became the 2024 IHSA esports state champions in Rocket League.
Illinois sent their top 16 schools to crash into each other in a bracket style final. TF South fell to Normal West in round 3 moving to the losers bracket. Bouncing back, the Red Wolves beat Lincoln-Way East, Wheaton North and Elgin. Now in the winners bracket, they met Normal West again. The first game was a hard fought battle where TF South won 3-2. After a 10 minute break, the Red Wolves put the pedal to the metal and swept winning state.
