On May 15th, the Reavis Rams (27-4, 17-1) became the outright winners of the South Suburban Conference after they beat Oak Lawn 3-0. This is the first time Reavis baseball has led both the blue and red baseball conferences; since the SSC 2006 split.

Don Erickson has coached at Reavis high school for 33 years but this is one of the best seasons his program has had. The defense is the reason why.

The star of the game was Martin Villagomez. His ability to turn plays for quick outs kept the pressure on every opponent. On the other side, he went 2-3, scoring 2 runs and earned a stolen base. His teammate Jonathan Liesen (2-3 having 2rbis) helped him get home.
