In Joliet, Crystal Lake Central (21-14) and Lemont (31-10) battled for the 3a state championship on June 8th.

The first two scores came to Lemont. Off a drop third strike a runner came home. One inning later, Nick Berardi would bring in an rbi.

For CLC, James Dreher hit a hard double rbi down the left baseline tying it. In the 6th, Rhett Ozment would bat a triple and bring home the winning run.

Final: 3a State Champions Crystal Lake Central 3, Lemont 2.  

Head Coach of Lemont, Brian Storako, spoke about his team saying “These kids battled. Yeah, we might not have pulled it out today but one game doesn’t define them. These guys are going to go down in Lemont baseball history.”
