When it came down to it, Kaleigh Ritter (senior setter for SXU women’s volleyball) knew what to do against Indiana South Bend. On Thursday, September 5th, Ritter became “the seventh player in team history to record 3,000 or more career assists…” wrote SXU Athletics.
What makes this milestone even more sweet, for SXU, is that Ritter completed this goal on the road verses a CCAC (Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference) opponent; for their fourth consecutive win on the 2024 season (4-5, 1-0 CCAC).
SXU swept the Titans going three sets; 25-22, 25-14 & 26-24.
Additionally, Ritter had four digs, three kills, a block and a service ace.
The Cougars will face Governors State University at home on Tuesday, September 10.
