Ranked NAIA top 10 match-up leaves #8 Saint Xavier University .500 on the season

There was a NAIA elite match-up at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field, on Saturday, in Chicago. It was the home opener for the #8 Saint Xavier Cougars (1-1) were the #10 St. Thomas (Florida) Bobcats were looking to climb up the NAIA rankings.

FINAL: #10 St. Thomas University 33, #8 Saint Xavier University 14.

The competition led to a new landmark for fifth year senior quarterback Stuart Ross. He eclipsed John Rhone’s (SXU QB 2013-16) completed passing record of 733 passes. Ross set the new bar at 744.

Stuart Ross was also the WCCN Player of the Game having 238 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.
