On September 13th, 2024, two more members were inducted into the Bremen High School (Midlothian, IL) Alumni Hall of Fame.

First was Sue Vaughan Nelson. She was a graduate of the Class of 1962. “During her career at Bremen High School, Sue participated in Student Council, Thespians Club, Student Education Association, and the National Honor Society” wrote B.H.S. Principal Dr. Jessica Rucinski. “She has dedicated her life to the field of education, teaching students of all ages and abilities throughout her career.”

Also inducted into the Hall of Fame was Dominic D’Ambrosio, graduate of the Class of 1992. His career expanded outside of education where he served for the United States Marine Corps from 1995 to 1999. After serving, D’Ambrosio attended three universities (Chicago State, Governors State & the University of the Southwest) earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a MBA (Master of Business Administration) in Public Administration. Currently, he serves as a Deputy Chief of Police for the neighboring municipality of the ‘City of Oak Forest.’

“It brings me a lot of pride and a lot of memories, from being here in high school, and it’s good to be a part of the community today; over 30 years later” stated D’Ambrosio. “I played (football) from 1990-92 and my dad was the head football coach at the time. He was my English teacher, my football coach and my wrestling coach, which was pretty interesting” said D’Ambrosio jokingly.

“It’s a great day to be a Brave” as the morning announcements would say at Bremen H.S (from 2012-2016). ‘Make it a great day or not, the CHOICE is YOURS.’

Special thank you to Dr. Jessica Rucinski (Bremen H.S. Principal).
