Tinley Park Police Department’s 2025 Citizens Police Academy
Tinley Park’s Police Department has been accepting applications for the 2025 Citizens Police Academy since August 12, 2024. The Citizens Police Academy is a 12-week program designed to give residents a working knowledge of law enforcement and the Tinley Park Police Department.
The program is scheduled for Thursday evenings beginning January 9, 2025, through March 27, 2025. It is a free of charge educational course and is limited to 30 students per session.
Applications are available at the Tinley Park Police Department, 7850 West 183rd Street, Tinley Park; open Monday thru Friday 7 AM—10 PM. The deadline for accepting completed applications is October 11, 2024.
Qualified Applicants
Citizens who apply to the Tinley Park Citizens Police Academy must be 21 years of age or older. They must reside or work within the Village of Tinley Park. All applicants will be subject to a background check.
