During early October, 153rd Street will be close at the Metra crossing.
This planned Metra maintenance project is set for October 2 – October 11. Repairs will be done on the Southwest Service (SWS) lines. Residents that normally use 153rd should plan accordingly for the ten day road closure.
“SAVE THE DATE: From October 2 through October 11, Metra is scheduled to make repairs to the railroad crossing on 153rd Street. These repairs will require the closing of 153rd Street at the Metra crossing, just east of Sheffield Square Parkway. Please keep this closure in mind when travelling on 153rd Street during October. We will continue to remind residents of this road closure as the date gets closer.” wrote the Village of Orland Park, Illinois – Government’s Facebook page on September 30th.
