Sherrie Emmons scores six touchdowns in a playoff game

On Wednesday, October 9, the IHSA Richton Park Regional Semifinals were held at Rich Township High School. The #1 seeded Raptors of Rich Township faced the #6 seeded Bloom Township Blazing Trojans for their first playoff match-up, against each other, in girls’ flag football history.

FINAL: Rich Township 44, Bloom Township 30.

Rich Township
– Senior quarterback Sherrie Emmons rushed for five touchdowns and threw one TD to junior tight end Queen Thigpen.

– Senior linebacker Naairah Ali intercepted two passes from Bloom Township.

Bloom Township
– Senior running back Sanoldah Bulter scored two touchdowns in the first half.

– Junior quarterback Saniyah Dawson passed for two touchdowns, connecting with senior Asiiah Dawson and sophomore Marissa Duprey.

The WCCN Player of the Game was Sherrie Emmons.
