One site for the IHSA’s Super Sixteen was the Richton Park Sectional Championship; where the Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers faced off against the Hawks of Hillcrest. This matchup was a rematch from earlier in the season.

FINAL: Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School 42, Hillcrest 22.

After the game, head coach Andrew Harrington reflected on Hillcrest’s remarkable inaugural season.

“Hard work, effort and commitment can get anyone anywhere; from the ground up. I feel like that’s what we did. We came from nothing, not knowing anything about flag football to making it to the Sectional Finals and that’s quite an accomplishment.”
