PAT’s Win Games

On Saturday, November 16, a PAT (point after touchdown) would decide the playoff fate when Kankakee and Harold L. Richards faced off in the IHSA Class 6A quarterfinals.

FINAL: Richards 21, Kankakee 20.

The WCCN Play of the Game came at the 1:30 mark, in the 3rd. Junior defensive back Emmanuel Mahonie stepped up when Kankakee’s running back fumbled the rock. Mahonie was in the right place at the right time scooping up the loose ball and returning it for a touchdown.

The WCCN Game Winning Play came from junior wide receiver Jaiden Henry who caught a wide open pass from junior quarterback Noah Escobedo on the sidelines.

Special thank you to the IHSA, Brian Wujcik (Richards athletic director), Tony Sheehan (Richards head Coach) and Miles Osei (Kankakee head coach).
