Scaduto Series Stays with Oak Lawn

By Claude Martinez.

The Scaduto Series game, one of the fiercest rivalries in the South Suburban Conference, unfolded on January 23 between Oak Lawn Community High School and Evergreen Park Community High School, 9901 S Kedzie Ave; where both sides were chanting the whole game, regardless of the score.

FINAL: Oak Lawn 83, Evergreen Park 60.

The WCCN Player of the Game was senior guard Dontè Montgomery, who finished with 26 points on the night.

Other standout performers for Oak Lawn included junior guard and forward Marc Harvey, who recorded 16 points, and junior guard Jack Dempsey, who contributed 15 points.

Evergreen Park senior Keshaun Vaval led the team with 24 points, while junior Lonnie Mosley contributed an impressive 18 points.

A special thank you to Evergreen Park Athletics, Jason Rhodes (Oak Lawn head coach) and Jim Sexton (Evergreen Park head coach).
