Class was cut short on January 24 for the Tinley Park Andrew Sectional, as teams from across Will and Cook Counties gathered at Thunder Bowl, located at 18700 Old Lagrange Rd, Mokena, for a shot at the IHSA state championship.

The parking lot was packed after lunch, and it showed inside as well. Parents created their own makeshift periscopes, trying to get a view of the lanes.

The St. Rita coaches had a better vantage point, where they watched their sophomore bowler, Marcello Muniz, step up to the line.

In total, 99 bowlers competed for a chance to make an impact on the score sheet, but only a select few were able to rise to the occasion.
