Cyclones Edge Bengals in Thrilling Road Victory

By Claude Martinez.

The Oak Forest Bengals (14-14) hosted the Chicago Agricultural Science Cyclones (17-9) on Senior Night, February 10, setting the stage for an electrifying atmosphere.

The evening began with a heartfelt tribute to the Bengals’ seniors: #2 Cameron Lee, #3 Jacob Lipsett, #5 Ryan Cubero, #11 Will Englund, and #24 Matt Anderson.

Despite the passionate home crowd, the Bengals fell short, losing in a hard-fought battle on their home court.

FINAL: Chicago Agricultural Science 62, Oak Forest 58.

Matt Anderson led the Bengals with 22 points, while Gary Manso contributed 16.

For the Cyclones, senior center Landon Mathis earned WCCN Player of the Game honors, delivering an outstanding performance with 24 points.

Mathis was supported by sophomore shooting guard Isaiah Hall, who added 18, and senior point guard Chris Cole with 13.

Special thank you to Matt Manzke (Oak Forest athletic director), TJ Cobbs (Oak Forest head coach) and Shawn Finnin (CAS head coach).
