McGhee, McClinton, and Jackson Combine for 57 Points

By Claude Martinez.

It was clear from the opening tip-off that Thornton Fractional North was in full control during their first playoff game against Tinley Park on February 17, 2025, at the Calumet City Regionals.

The TF North Meteors were dominant on both ends of the floor from the start. Their offense thrived inside the arch, and they fought aggressively for every rebound.

By the end of the first quarter, TF North had built a commanding 23-6 lead, with 11 of those points coming from Kamariyah McClinton.

The second quarter saw more of the same, as the Meteors tightened their defense, allowing Tinley Park to score just 4 points.

By halftime, the score stood at 45-10, and TF North maintained their intensity in the second half. Standout performances in those quarters came from Natalie McGhee and Lauryn Jackson

FINAL: TF North 80, Tinley Park 22

Three standout performances led the way, as freshman guard Natalie McGhee (20 points), freshman guard Kamariyah McClinton (19 points), and junior forward Lauryn Jackson (18 points) were named WCCN Players of the Game, combining for an impressive total of 57 points

WCCN spoke with McGhee, McClinton and Jackson.
