The 4A Girls Super-Sectional was hosted by Hinsdale Central on Monday, March 3, 2025, where the #1 Marist RedHawks faced off against the #2 Kenwood Broncos for a chance to make it to the state championship series.
The first quarter ended with Kenwood leading by 5, 20-15, thanks to Ariella Hengian, who scored 8 points.
By halftime, the Broncos had pulled away, leading 38-28.
In the first half of the third quarter, the RedHawks closed the gap and were down by just 1 point. However, the Broncos turned up the heat, with their steals and ability to finish in the paint helping them secure the win.
FINAL: Kenwood 62, Marist 48.
The WCCN Player of the Game was senior center and power forward Diann Jackson, who scored 20 points.
Also contributing was senior guard Ariella Hengian, with 15 points.
Kenwood will now play Alton in the State Semifinals on Friday, March 7, at Illinois State University.
