Crestwood – Junior pitcher Christian Lott, from Simeon Career Academy (5-6-1), was named the WCCN Player of the Game after leading his team to a 7–1 victory over Kenwood Academy (1-4-1) at the Chicago High School Baseball Classic, hosted by Black Baseball Media on April 12.
On the night, Lott pitched 6.1 innings, recorded 9 strikeouts, and earned a single. This was also the second time he earned the Chicago High School Baseball Classic MVP honor, having previously won it in 2024.

“I knew I had my team behind me, [with them] knowing how I am on the mound, [I was] able to dominate,” said Christian Lott.
He then spoke about keeping the team’s momentum going: “Try to keep the same energy through the whole week and the rest of the season,” Lott said. “The same energy after this game should be the same for the rest of the season.”
