Crestwood – The 4A Super-Sectional was held at Ozinga Field, 14011 Kenton Ave., where the Brother Rice Crusaders and the Providence Catholic Celtics showcased their power at the plate on June 9, 2025.

The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead in the first inning with two quick runs.

But the Celtics came storming back — Enzo Infelise cranked a home run over the left field fence, and Cooper Eggert followed with a triple that drove in two runs.

In the top of the third, Brother Rice tied the game again thanks to Aidan Nohava’s RBI single that brought home Brady Cunningham.

The Crusaders added two more runs in the fifth. Nolan Ramoley delivered a clutch RBI triple, bringing in Conner Stack, who dove headfirst across the plate. Just one play later, Colin Campbell laid down a squeeze bunt back to the pitcher, allowing Ramoley to score.

In the top of the seventh, Brother Rice tacked on three more insurance runs.

But but Nate O’Donnell and Cooper Eggert sparked a late rally, cutting into the lead with a few timely hits. Unfortunately for the Celtics, their comeback was cut short by a 4-6-3 double play.

Final: Brother Rice 8, Providence Catholic 6.

The WCCN Player of the Game was Aidan Nohava, who went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

Brother Rice will now take on McHenry in the state semifinals on Friday, June 13.
