Tinley Park – Kickoff is just over a month away, and the Victor J. Andrew Thunderbolts are back on the turf, preparing for what promises to be another exciting season.

This year marks the Thunderbolts 10th season under head coach Adam Lewandowski. Last fall, he guided the Thunderbolts to the playoffs, a strong showing that ended in a tough first-round loss. That result has only fueled the returning players’ drive to push even further this season.

WCCN caught up with several senior leaders from both sides of the ball.

On offense, we spoke with Camden Maniatis (quarterback), Jake Palucki (offensive line), Judah Van Engen (offensive and defensive line), Joey McCague (center/guard), and Jalon Lawrence (fullback).

Defensively, the seniors included Ali Shaibe (linebacker), Josh Burke (defensive back), Troy Culbertson (defensive end/linebacker), and Jeremyah Johnson (outside linebacker).

The Thunderbolts will take on the Carl Sandburg Eagles at home on Friday, August 29, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
