Chicago – King College Prep hosted Back of the Yards College Prep on August 27 at Gately Stadium, where they put the pedal to the metal.
FINAL: King College Prep 70, Back of the Yards College Prep 0.
The WCCN Player of the Game went to junior linebacker Kennedy Knox, who made two big interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns.
Other standout performances included:
- Senior quarterback Nyerra Neal, who threw two passing touchdowns
- Senior running back Janyla Lee, who scored a rushing touchdown
- Junior quarterback and wide receiver Taniya Harris, who had two passing touchdowns, two receiving and one rushing touchdown
- Junior running back Jayla Watts, who a rushing touchdown
- Sophomore defensive back Dakota Owens, who had two interceptions, including a pick-six
- Sophomore wide receiver Jamariae Lewis, who had a receiving touchdown
- Freshman wide receiver Nia Eruteya, who caught a receiving touchdown

King College Prep will now head on the road to take on Taft on September 3.
