Country Club Hills – The Hillcrest Hawks (7-4, 3-0 SSC) shut out the Oak Lawn Community High School Spartans (5-3, 3-2 SSC) on Thursday, September 18, at home.
In the first half, the only scoring play came when Dajha Johnson flicked a short pass to Myla Drayton.
On the first play of the third quarter, Davia Cobb broke free for an 84-yard rushing touchdown. She followed that up with two more rushing scores in the same quarter, then added another in the fourth.
FINAL: Hillcrest 34, Oak Lawn 0
Senior quarterback and wide receiver Davia Cobb was named the WCCN Player of the Game after recording three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, senior rusher Taniya Moss made her presence known. She came up with a critical red zone stop to keep the Spartans off the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter, and in the third, she consistently delivered sacks and key flag pulls.

The Hawks will now face the Bremen Braves on September 22 in another SSC matchup.
