Agricultural Sciences Cyclones Blow Past Chicago Vocational

Chicago – It was all Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences (4-1) on Thursday, September 25 at Gately Stadium as the Cyclones faced off against Chicago Vocational (0-4-1).

All three phases of the game contributed to a dominant performance, giving the Cyclones a clear shot at victory.

The first score came from Trevon Williams on a 2-yard rushing touchdown.

Later, with Vocational backed up near their own end zone. They went for the punt but Michael Mendoza blocked the kick and Isaiah Brown made the tag for the safety.

On the following kickoff, Jaylen Dotson returned the ball all the way to the house for another Cyclone score.

The longest scoring play came in the second quarter when Braeden Gillie connected with Williams for a 35-yard touchdown.

From there, the Cyclones continued to apply pressure.

They forced four fumbles in the second quarter, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Kris Bell. That gave Agricultural Sciences a commanding 40-point lead and started the running clock going into halftime.

In the second half, the Cyclones managed to score two more times with rushing touchdowns by James Gregory and Jeremy Powell.

FINAL: Agricultural Sciences 56, Chicago Vocational 0.

The WCCN Player of the Game was junior wide receiver and free safety Trevon Williams, who had a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown.

The Cyclones will now face Comer on October 4.
