In the semifinals, the Rams took an 18–12 victory over the Shepard Astros, and the Hawks secured a 37–6 win over the Argo Argonauts.
Roughly 15 minutes later, the winning teams moved to the soccer field for the finals match.
On the first drive, Dajha Johnson hit Angel Taylor up the middle were she scored the first touchdown of the contest.
When the Rams went on their first drive, Johnson picked the ball, putting them in great field positioning. Two plays later, she matched up with Taylor again for another score.
On the Hawks’ third drive, they were in the red zone. Johnson scrambled to her right and passed the rock to Mia Rodriguez in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown.
In the second, Davia Cobb started under center for a play where she gave Johnson a lateral. Johnson was getting chased down but managed to get the throw off to Rodriguez, who put her hands up and secured 6.
The Rams were ready to respond.
Marley Loa threw an 8-yard pass up the field to Julissa Gomez. She ran all the way to the sideline, making defenders miss. Then she cut back up the middle and to the right, sprinting all the way down to the goal line.
Then Reavis got the ball back once Daijah Vidana caught an interception. Vidana was also the one who brought in a touchdown on a 9-play Rams drive.
At halftime, it was 30–12. The Hawks would go on to put up two more scores and bring home the first SSC Flag Football Championship.
