Chicago – King (4-2) kept the pressure on when they faced Brooks (1-5) on October 2.
Before the scoring began, King’s Malachi Mays-Pinckney stepped in front of the receiver to snag the ball for the Jaguars. Three plays later, senior running back Nathaniel Guy used his leg strength to power into the end zone on a 26-yard rushing touchdown.
The Jaguars went back to him in the second quarter on 1st and Goal, where he punched in a 9-yard score.
Later, King took full advantage of their dominant run blocking. They fed the ball to Jamar Lewis, who burst out to the left hash mark, then cut toward the sideline, stiff-arming a defender on his way to a 66-yard touchdown.
To close out the half, Jermaine Whitfield flicked the rock to Kayvon Sullivan, who lunged into the end zone to bring in the catch.
At halftime, it was 30-0.
The Jaguars continued to roll, running up the score to 50-0 giving them their 4th win on the season
The WCCN Player of the Game was sophomore running back Jamar Lewis, who scored two rushing touchdowns: one for 66 yards and another for 46 yards. He spoke highly of his offensive line, crediting them for opening up lanes and making those touchdowns possible.
