Chicago – Corliss (7-2, 7-0) put up an impressive 55-6 win over Walter H. Dyett High School (4-5, 3-4) on October 23 at Gately Stadium, making them the outright Chicago Public South Conference champions.
On the night, the Trojans had an impressive seven touchdowns and eight takeaways.
Leading behind the center is senior quarterback Elliot Turner, and one of his top receivers is senior Kendall Lucas.
Turner had three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing, while Lucas had two receiving touchdowns and two interceptions; they both earned WCCN Player of the Game honors for offense and defense.
They talked about their chemistry throughout the matchup and how they were just playing this game like every other.

Corliss finished the regular season at 7-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play. They now wait to hear their playoff matchup, which will be announced on Saturday, October 25.
