Bures and Fields Spark Second Half in 116–67 Win

The South Suburban College Bulldogs defeated Blackhawk Technical College 116–67 on January 6 in a dominant second-half performance.

The game was tied 38–38 at halftime, but three sophomores led the Bulldogs’ breakout after the half. Aj Abrams, Samar Bures, and Tanner Fields each delivered standout performances to pull South Suburban away.

Abrams recorded a double-double with 27 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. Fields added 25 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, while Bures posted a double-double of his own with 22 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Samar Bures was named the WCCN Player of the Game for his leadership and ability to spark the team in the second half.
