Chicago Heights — On January 20, the Prairie State Lady Pioneers fell to the College of Lake County Lancers, 81–71.
In the first half, both teams battled back and forth, frequently exchanging the lead. However, once the game reached the fourth quarter, the Lancers broke away by draining key three-pointers to secure the 81–71 victory.
Despite the loss, the Pioneers were impressive, competing with only six players available.
Freshman guard Chanteze Holland was named WCCN Player of the Game after recording 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Prairie State will return to action on the road against Moraine Valley on January 22.
