Chicago — The rivalry between two City Colleges of Chicago teams was on full display January 27, when the Kennedy-King Statesmen visited the Olive-Harvey Panthers.
But in the end, Olive-Harvey held on to the lead, once earned, finishing with a 75-59 victory.
For the visiting Statesmen, sophomore guard Reggie Ray led his team, finishing with 22 points, while for the Panthers, two players had great games.
Freshman guard Justin Jones closed the game with 20 points, while his teammate, freshman guard Marcus Browder, was named the WCCN Player of the Game with 22.
For Olive-Harvey, three of their main guys were out for this game. First-year head coach Jason Straight spoke about these absences, highlighted a few players that stepped up and the City rivalry matchup.
