Schaumburg — On January 28, the Schaumburg Boomers, a professional baseball team in the Frontier League, a MLB Partner League, announced via press release that they had a new owner.
REV Entertainment, based in Texas, bought the Boomers from Patrick A. Salvia and Lindy Salvia, who have owned the team for 14 years. “The decision to sell the Boomers was bittersweet for my wife, Lindy and I,” said Patrick A. Salvi. “Owning the Boomers over the last 14 years has been a great joy, and I am very proud of the work we have done to become an anchor of the community and entertainment destination in Schaumburg and throughout the Northwest Suburbs.
In the Boomers press release, the president of REV Entertainment, Sean Decker, added: “We’re thrilled to welcome the Schaumburg Boomers into the REV family,” said Sean Decker. “Pat and Lindy Salvi have built a successful and respected organization in Schaumburg. Our goal is to build on the strong foundation they established, continue investing in the fan experience at Wintrust Field, strengthen local partnerships, and ensure the Boomers remain a cornerstone of entertainment in the Chicagoland area for years to come.”
REV Entertainment is not new to baseball. They are the official sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers. The Boomers will be their fourth team from MLB Partner Leagues.
The others include the American Association’s Cleburne Railroaders (Cleburne, TX), the Kane County Cougars (Geneva, IL), and the Atlantic League’s Long Island Ducks (Central Islip, NY).
On the same day, REV Entertainment also purchased the Long Island Ducks.
In the 2025 season, the Schaumburg Boomers were the Frontier League runners-up, finishing with a regular-season record of 58–38 and an overall record of 65–40.
Additionally, the Boomers were rewarded with the Frontier League’s Most Valuable Player award, which went to Anthony Calarco.
Schaumburg’s first game is scheduled to take place against the Lake Erie Crushers (Avon, OH) on May 8.
