Chicago — From the beginning, it was all Malcolm X College as they faced Richard J. Daley College on February 5.
Despite a strong effort from Daley, led by Khamarianna Payne’s 24 points and Evelyn Isaac’s 15, the Bulldogs fell 81–62.
The WCCN Player of the Game was sophomore power forward Nia Allen, who finished with 24 points.
Allen began playing basketball in grade school and has continued to develop her game ever since. Along the way, she has learned a lot about her style of play and is always looking for areas to improve.
Currently, she ranks third nationally in scoring.
WCCN spoke with Allen and head coach Kim McQuarter after the contest.
