South Holland — South Suburban College won its final regular season game on Sophomore Night this past weekend, defeating Blackhawk College 82–68.
Before the game, the sophomores were honored, and just prior to tipoff an SSC alumnus was inducted into the NJCAA Region 4 Hall of Fame.
Those recognized included Aj Abrams, Samar Bures, Angel Edmonson, Tanner Fields, and Isaiah Green.
Just before the game, all eyes were on center court as the NJCAA Region 4 Hall of Fame honor was presented to Courtney Carter, a 2019 graduate.
Coach Pigatti spoke about Carter and the achievements he accomplished with the team.
Additionally, WCCN spoke with sophomores AJ Abrams, who finished with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Samar Bures, who had 18 points, 1 rebound, and 5 assists, about their experiences at South Suburban College.
