Chicago — The Marist RedHawks secured a 7–1 victory over the Oak Lawn Spartans on March 20, powered by a dominant performance on the mound.
Senior pitcher Joseph “JP” Gainer earned WCCN Player of the Game honors, recording six strikeouts over four innings. Gainer, who has been pitching since he was six years old, showcased strong command throughout the game.
Oak Lawn senior pitcher Eli Kulpinski threw 4.2 innings, allowing one hit and one earned run while striking out six.
