Crestwood — Homewood-Flossmoor, ranked No. 10, defeated Ogden International 12–3 at the Chicago High School Baseball Classic, hosted by Black Baseball Media on April 4 at Ozinga Field.

From the jump, it was all HF despite light rain at the ballpark.

UIC commit and junior Michael Watson got things started in a big way with an inside-the-park home run. The Vikings scored nine runs in the first three innings while allowing just three in the third.

Homewood-Flossmoor added one run in the fifth and two more in the sixth to seal the win.

Michael Watson was named MVP of the Chicago High School Baseball Classic for his performance.
