After a dominant 14-game win streak, the #1 Bryant and Stratton College (WI) Bobcats (21-5; 15-1 Region IV) were set to take on the #5 South Suburban Bulldogs (17-7; 12-1 Region IV), who were also on a roll, having won their last six games.
The highly anticipated February 4 matchup proved to be the most thrilling Region IV Division II game of the season — and it certainly lived up to the hype.
FINAL: South Suburban College 83, Bryant and Stratton College (WI) 79.
WCCN Player of the Game was freshman guard AJ Abrams, who recorded a double-double with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Also playing a pivotal role for SSC was freshman guard Samar Bures, who contributed 18 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists.
