Midlothian — With wind gusts reaching more than 20 mph, the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves took on the Bremen Braves on the road.
TF South jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Red Wolves exploded for seven runs in the second, highlighted by junior Jenaro Negron’s three-run home run.
Bremen answered with two runs in the fourth inning thanks to sophomore Carlos Soto, who recorded an RBI double and scored a run in the inning.
In the end, TF South defeated Bremen 13-2.
The WCCN Player of the Game was junior center fielder Jenaro Negron, who finished with four RBIs.
Negron said that if everyone does their job, the Red Wolves can beat any team.
