Oak Forest – On May 21, the Oak Forest Bengals hosted the Eric Solorio Academy High School Sun Warriors in a close game.
Neither team was able to break through until the fifth inning, when both squads plated a run to knot the game at 1–1.
Oak Forest regained momentum in the sixth inning, scoring two runs to take the lead.
Solorio answered with a run in the seventh, but the rally came up short as Oak Forest held on for a 3–2 victory.
Solorio finished with seven hits but left key scoring chances on the table, while Oak Forest made the most of its opportunities late in the game to secure the win.
Oak Forest will host Lincoln Park High School on Saturday, May 23.
