Orland Park — The Carl Sandburg Eagles lit up the scoreboard on October 9, taking down the Amos Alonzo Stagg Chargers 59-0 in a Southwest Suburban Conference victory.
Senior running back Nasir Dixon earned WCCN Player of the Game honors after recording three rushing touchdowns. His biggest run came in the first quarter, when he broke free for a 52-yard score.
Junior quarterback Max Fahey also made his presence felt, throwing two touchdown passes in the shutout victory. His ability to remain patient in the pocket and extend plays by rolling out helped the Eagles continue to build their lead.
