Crestwood — The Windy City ThunderBolts have just three games remaining in the regular season and are looking to control their own fate heading into the final series.
On September 3, the ThunderBolts battled back after falling behind the Lake Erie Crushers, who carried a 7-0 lead into the top of the fifth inning.
The Bolts responded in a big way, scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut into the deficit.
Then, in the bottom of the seventh, they exploded for five more runs to take the lead and ultimately secure a thrilling 9-8 comeback victory.
Now, the ThunderBolts head to Florence to face the Florence Y’alls for the regular-season finale. With a playoff spot on the line, the stakes could not be higher. The team that wins the series in Florence will guarantee itself a spot in the playoffs.
With just three games left, the ThunderBolts will look to finish the regular season strong and punch their ticket to the postseason.
